Privacy at a glance
The following information provides a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified.
Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator. You can find their contact details in the section “Information about the controller”.
On the one hand, your data is collected when you provide it to us — for example, information you enter in the contact form. Other data is processed for technical reasons when you visit the website so that your browser can retrieve the page (e.g. IP address, browser, operating system, time of the page request). We do not store this connection data in access logs.
Some of the data is collected to ensure that the website is provided without errors. Other data is used to respond to your enquiry. No analysis of your user behaviour (tracking, profiling or audience measurement) takes place on this website.
You have the right at any time to receive information free of charge about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the rectification or erasure of this data. You can revoke any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to request the restriction of processing under certain circumstances, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
Hosting
This website is hosted by an external service provider. The personal data collected on this website is stored on the host's servers. This may include, in particular, IP addresses, contact enquiries, metadata and communication data, contract data, contact details, names, website access data and other data generated via a website.
We use the host for the purpose of fulfilling our contracts with potential and existing customers (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and in the interest of providing our online services securely, quickly and efficiently (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our host only processes your data to the extent necessary to fulfil its performance obligations and follows our instructions.
We use the following host: Contabo GmbH, Aschauer Straße 32a, 81549 München, Germany. The server is located in a data centre in Germany and is administered by us directly. To ensure data protection-compliant processing, we have concluded a data processing agreement with our host.
General information and mandatory information
The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. Please note that data transmission over the internet — for example when communicating by email — may be subject to security vulnerabilities. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is David Putbrese — Veecom One, Eisenacher Str. 24, 12629 Berlin, telephone +49 (0)30 2357 6400, email hello@veecom.one. The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.
Unless a more specific storage period has been specified within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for erasure or revoke your consent, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing it — for example, retention periods under tax or commercial law. In the latter case, the data will be deleted once these reasons no longer apply.
When you visit this website, no data is transferred to companies in the USA or in other third countries: fonts, icons, videos and all scripts are delivered exclusively from our own server in Germany.
Where, outside the website, we use services of providers based in the USA to communicate with you (see the sections on Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp and Telegram) or you allow online text-to-speech in the privacy settings, data may be transferred to the USA. For providers certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, there is an adequacy decision of the European Commission; otherwise, the transfer takes place on the basis of the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
If data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
If your personal data is processed for the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is related to such direct marketing. Following an objection, your data will no longer be used for the purpose of direct marketing.
In the event of breaches of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer to another controller, this will only take place insofar as it is technically feasible.
Within the scope of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, where applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data.
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data — for example, while we verify the accuracy of disputed data, in the case of unlawful processing instead of erasure, if you need the data for the establishment of legal claims, or for as long as the balancing of interests is ongoing following an objection under Art. 21(1) GDPR.
If you have restricted processing, this data may — apart from its storage — only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another person or for reasons of important public interest.
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address bar changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock symbol. When encryption is active, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
We hereby object to the use of the contact details published as part of our legal notice obligation for the purpose of sending advertising and information material that has not been expressly requested. The operators of these pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising information being sent.
Data collection on this website
This website does not set any cookies.
For two functions, we store information in your browser's local storage (localStorage). This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us: firstly, your selection in the privacy settings (“vc_consent”, 12 months), so that we do not have to ask you again every time you load a page; secondly, your settings in the “Accessibility” menu (“vc-a11y”) — only if you activate an option there and only until you select “Reset all”.
The legal basis for storing your privacy choices is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 7(1) GDPR (proof of consent); for the accessibility settings, it is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act), as the storage is strictly necessary for the function you have expressly requested. You can delete this data at any time via your browser settings.
To manage your consents, we use the open-source software “CookieConsent”, which is delivered entirely from our own server; no data is transmitted to third parties in the process. Optional functions are only activated after you have given your consent — declining is just as easy as accepting.
You can change or revoke your selection at any time via “Privacy settings” at the bottom of every page. If you revoke your consent, the relevant function is deactivated immediately and the page is reloaded. There is currently one optional category: “Comfort: online text-to-speech” (see “Accessibility and read-aloud feature”).
When you access this website, your browser transmits technically necessary connection data, in particular the IP address, date and time, the file requested and the browser type. This data is processed exclusively in order to deliver the page and to ensure the secure operation of the server.
We do not store access logs containing your IP address. Technical error messages from the web server are used solely for error analysis. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and error-free provision of the website.
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The form transmits your details (name, company, email address, telephone number, message and, where applicable, file attachments) in encrypted form directly to our Zammad ticket system, which we operate ourselves at help.veecom.one. A connection to this system is only established once you begin filling in the form.
To protect against automated spam enquiries, we use ALTCHA: your browser solves a small computational task set by our ticket system. No cookies are set, no fingerprint of your device is created and no data is transmitted to third parties. In addition, a field that is invisible to humans (“honeypot”) can detect automated entries.
Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
The data you enter remains with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory statutory provisions — in particular retention periods — remain unaffected.
In the footer you can display our rating seal from ProvenExpert. The provider is Expert Systems AG, Quedlinburger Straße 1, 10589 Berlin, Germany. The seal shows our current rating on ProvenExpert and links to our profile there.
The seal is only loaded if you have consented to the category “Rating seal (ProvenExpert)” – with “Accept all” or in the privacy settings, which you can also open via “Show seal” in the footer. Only then does your browser load a script and the rating data from ProvenExpert servers (s.provenexpert.net and d.provenexpert.net). These servers are delivered via the network of Cloudflare, Inc. (USA); processing of your data outside the EU can therefore not be ruled out. For technical reasons, your IP address and information about your browser are transmitted. The seal creates a cache in your browser’s session storage, which is deleted when you close the tab; according to our checks it does not set any cookies.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time via “Privacy settings” at the bottom of the page; the seal will then no longer be loaded. Further information can be found in ProvenExpert’s privacy policy.
Via the “Accessibility” menu, you can adjust the display, for example contrast, font size or motion. These settings are only stored in your browser (see “Cookies and local storage”).
The read-aloud feature uses your browser's text-to-speech function. By default, we use only voices that are installed locally on your device — the text being read aloud does not leave your device. Only if you consent to the category “Comfort: online text-to-speech” in the privacy settings may your browser's online voices also be used. The text to be read aloud is then transmitted to the provider of the respective voice (depending on browser and operating system, e.g. Google, Microsoft or Apple); this may include a transfer to the USA. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG), which you can revoke at any time.
If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your enquiry, including all resulting personal data, will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent. The same legal bases and deletion periods apply as for the contact form.
We process enquiries and fault reports from customers we support in a ticket system that we operate on our own infrastructure. We store your contact details, the processing history and the information you provide. The legal basis is the performance of the maintenance or managed services contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The data is stored for the duration of the business relationship and thereafter within the scope of statutory retention periods.
Among other services, we use WhatsApp to communicate with our customers and other third parties. The provider is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. Communication is end-to-end encrypted; however, WhatsApp obtains access to metadata such as sender, recipient and time. We use WhatsApp in the “WhatsApp Business” version and have concluded a data processing agreement. Automatic data synchronisation with the address book of the smartphones used is disabled.
We also offer Telegram. Its use is based on our legitimate interest in communication that is as fast and effective as possible (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent if you contact us this way. The transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission.
Audio and video conferencing, remote maintenance
We use remote maintenance and online conferencing tools to communicate with our customers. When you communicate with us by video or audio conference, your personal data is collected and processed by us and by the provider of the respective tool: the contact details you provide, the duration, start and end of participation, the number of participants and technical data such as IP and MAC addresses, device IDs, device type, operating system, client version and type of connection.
If content is exchanged, uploaded or provided within a tool, it is also stored on the providers' servers. We do not have full control over the data processing operations of the tools used.
The tools are used to communicate with prospective or existing contractual partners or to provide services (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to simplify communication (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data collected directly by us is deleted as soon as you ask us to do so, revoke your consent or the purpose no longer applies.
The provider is TeamViewer Germany GmbH, Jahnstr. 30, 73037 Göppingen. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider.
The provider is Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider and implement the requirements of the German data protection authorities.
Fonts and icons
This website uses the Arimo typeface (SIL Open Font License) for consistent display. The font files are loaded exclusively from our own server; no connection is made to third-party servers such as Google Fonts.
Icons, logos and videos are embedded directly in the page or delivered from our own server. Content from external servers (such as content delivery networks) is not loaded; this is additionally ruled out on a technical level by a Content Security Policy.
Handling of applicant data
If you send us an application — by email, by post or via a form — we process the associated personal data, such as contact and communication data, application documents and notes from interviews, insofar as this is necessary for deciding on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis is § 26 BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act), Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and — where given — Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Within our company, your data is only passed on to persons involved in processing your application.
If we are unable to offer you a position, if you decline an offer or if you withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data submitted on the basis of our legitimate interests for up to six months after the end of the application procedure; the data will then be deleted and physical documents destroyed. Inclusion in an applicant pool takes place exclusively with your express consent and can be revoked at any time.
Customer and contract data, payment processing
We collect, process and use personal data only insofar as it is necessary for the establishment, content or modification of the legal relationship (master data). This is done on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. The customer data collected will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship; statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
We only transfer personal data to third parties if this is necessary in the context of contract processing — for example, to the credit institution commissioned with payment processing. Data is not passed on for advertising purposes.
If, following the conclusion of a contract subject to a fee, there is an obligation to provide us with payment data, this data is transmitted exclusively via an encrypted SSL or TLS connection and used for payment processing.
